Supreme Court Civics Education Website
The Supreme Court Historical Society wanted an easy-to-use resource for teachers looking to explore the history of the court. Various users needed to be considered: ones looking to dig into long-form explanations of cases, advocates, and periods, as well as entry- and high-level points that could be easily downloaded to share in class. Each decision was rooted in making history accessible and engaging. The homepage uses horizontal scrolling functionality to reinforce the idea of a timeline or progression, and showcases the people, cases, and historical events that make each era relevant.
